I call it, the Strain Tour. It was a rock band tour in which I sprained my ankle. We had a total of 8 gigs. I did three with the bad ankle. But it was fine...the ladies still loved it. I even got a mosh going by hopping around.
On Monday, I took the day off from the back to back weekend runs. We flew over on a Coast Guard C-130. Cool.
Tuesday and Wednesday I ran 6 each. Felt good. Big Island is nice.
Thursday was the sprain. It was stupid. I iced, wrapped, took some ibuprofen, rocked.
Friday, got some crutches, iced more, wrapped a lot, rocked some more.
Saturday I was going to rest, but then some of the guys wanted to go to the volcano. So I went. And hiked up the volcano, hiked down through some lave tubes, and hiked down a lava field to see lava. It was fun, but bad for the ankle.
Sunday I slept in, iced, went to the pool to aqua jog, tread water, did some pushups and situps.
I will return to action shortly. The bruises are cool though.

I think we all would walk around on a sprained ankle to see a volcano and see lava. I know I would!
Good to see that you are posting again...now I can know how Anton is doing...
Best of luck healing the ankle and being a bad ass, in general.
Yes, heal quickly.
How did you sprain it anyways? Were you doing a back flip off the top of a volcano into the ocean and landed on a shark?
I wish I'd taken out a shark. That'd be cool.
No, it was actually a lame accident. One of the band guys was really rushing to unload the truck at a gig. I had some stuff in my hands, he jumped up and said, "you got this?" and grabbed a long heavy box expecting me to help him. As he yanked it off the top, I dropped my stuff and kind of dove to catch the handle before it crushed anything. Then, as I was trying to regain my balance, he pretty much pulled me off the truck. I landed on a sloped surface awkwardly, and the ankle just went "POP!!!!!!"
